 Upon request, the Humane Society of Montgomery County will issue a donation receipt for tax purposes.

The Second Time Around store sells a wide variety of donated items including, furniture, knick-knacks, household goods, books, and collectables. Proceeds from the store go directly to support the  cats at our shelter in Christiansburg ( Please note there are no animals available for adoption at the STA store. The animals are housed at our shelter in Christiansburg. If you are interested in adopting an animal or have an animal in need please call the shelter at 540-382-1166.) Come browse our store and pick up some great bargains while helping the animals!

Donations are accepted and volunteers are welcome and needed during store hours.

DIRECTIONS:

From Downtown Blacksburg: Travel east on South Main Street past Gables Shopping Center. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Ellet Road. The store is the first building on the left.

From Christiansburg/Radford: Travel west on North Franklin St/460 towards Blacksburg. Exit onto South Main St/460 business towards downtown. At the 3rd traffic light, turn right onto Ellet Road. The store is the first building on the left.

Donating to the STA store

Cleaning out your garage, attic, or the whole house?  Your donations are sold at the store and all proceeds go to pay the expenses of operating our animal shelter.

You can donate by bringing the items to the store during store hours. Please be sure all items are clean and in usable condition. 

The STA is open Wednesday- Saturday from 10am - 4pm
