HSMC SHELTER

Shelter Volunteering FAQ

Volunteering at the shelter consists of socializing our cats and dogs. Basically just walking dogs and petting cats! We welcome anyone to come during our office hours. You do not need to call or email to volunteer unless you have a group of people. Please note that people of all ages are welcome to volunteer but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent at all times.

You do not need to make an appointment unless you have a group (4 or more people at a time). Groups must call the shelter to schedule an appointment at least 5 days in advance to set up a date and time to keep traffic at a minimum.

CONCESSION STANDS

The HSMC has a concession stand at all VT home football and basketball games. You would not have to be able to work all of these games in order to volunteer.
We need people who can perform a variety of tasks related to preparing and selling refreshments during the games. You will be working with a great group of people who love and support animals, and there will be plenty of people to show you what needs to be done.
If you can help with any of the games or have questions regarding what is needed, please contact the HSMC at
