Jade is a beautiful black and white Manx. He is great with other
animals and children. He is approximately 9 years old, neutered, and
current on his vaccines. Jade is a diabetic and needs insulin twice a
day. He does not mind the shots! He is great with other cats and dogs. If you are interested in Jade, please

Esmerelda was picked up by animal control in August 08. She was
dirty, skinny, and her nails were so long they curled underneath, poking
the pad of her foot every time she took a step. She was taken to animal
control and held to see if anyone would come forward to claim her. No
one did. She came to the HSMC and was taken to a local vet to be
groomed, have her nails cut and be spayed. It was discovered that she
had several mammary tumors that were all successfully removed. After a
few weeks of recovery from her surgery Esmerelda is feeling much better
and ready to find a real home where she will be treated like a princess.
She is 8-10 years old, and still needs to gain some weight but she is
looking much better than the first time we met her. She is good with
cats and dogs of all sizes. She is learning how to trust so she would
not be a candidate for a home with children under 13 years of age. If

Update 8/24/08- Esmerelda continues to improve everyday! She is much more trusting and willing to get attention from her foster person. This morning was the first time she actually played!!

Meet Pearl. She is a 13 year old spayed female.
She came to the shelter almost a year ago after her owner passed away.
Pearl would do well in a quite home without dogs or small children. If
