Hey- I'm Birdie. I came to the HSMC in January of 2008. I had been living on my own when I found some folks who helped me out and took care of me until I could come here. This place is awesome- comfy beds, food and water, even little toys with feather on them! I am a 2 year spayed female with current vaccines. If you are looking for a new friend - I'm your girl!

Boo! Did I scare you? Hope not cause Boo is my name! I came to the shelter on Valentines Day of 2008 when my family moved and I couldn't go with them. I am 6 1/2 years old with a beautiful calico coat. I have been spayed- no kittens for me! I get along with other animals and LOVE to be petted and adored. Come by the shelter and visit with us, you won't be sorry!

Hey- My name is CoCo. I am a 8 month old spayed female with current vaccines. I came to the shelter in January of 2008. Wanna know the greatest thing about me? I LOVE to play! Never a dull moment with me around. Looking for a little excitement in your life? Well look no further I am the one you have been looking for!!!

Hello friends. My name is Amy. I am a 2 year old spayed female. I came to the shelter in October of 2007 after my owner decided they couldn't take care of me. I was really scared at first but now I am feeling better and ready to try again. I would prefer a home without children or dogs. If you are looking for a quiet friend to keep you company, I would love to go with you! Come by and visit with us!

They call me C.C. I think it must stand for "Cool Cat".  I came to the shelter in November of 2007 with my two brothers. They have both gone to new homes. I hope it will be my turn soon!   I am an 8 month old neutered male with current vaccines. I get along with other animals and older children are fun too!

Hey! My name is Kit and I am a 2 year old spayed female. I have had all my shots and am negative for feline leukemia and FIV. I would be happiest in a home without other cats. Please come by the shelter and visit with me. I am still getting used to all the excitement around here!

Okay- first let me explain the picture. I know it is not the most flattering photo! I was sleeping, dreaming about cat nip and butterflies, when suddenly my door opens and there is Jamie with a camera pointed in my face! Needless to say I was not in the mood. My name is Dash and I have been here for several weeks now. I am 7 years old and have been spayed. I used to have a family until they suddenly developed allergies to me so here I am. I am a pretty laid back, easy going, kind of girl. And even though my picture is terrible, I am really pretty too! Come by and see me in person- you will agree that Jamie took a bad picture!

They call me Little Bit. I came to the shelter in March of 2007. Before I came here, I was just wandering around looking for my next meal. It was a hard time, but then I met a family who fed me and looked after me until I could come here. The cats on the street would always tell stories about the shelter and what a scary place it is. Now I don't know what shelter they were talking about because this place is great! They have an endless supply of cat chow, warm blankets, and all the cat toys you could ever dream of! The best part is sometimes they let me run around, I especially like to knock everything off the counter- Ha! Ha!- you should see their faces! A perfect home for me would be with someone with a sense of humor, I look at life as one big party! Before I forget, I am 1 year old, spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and fabulous! Looking for a laugh...come see me!

No photographs please!! I am the real Angelina Jolie, I hear there is a lady with my name but I can assure you that I am the original! I came to the HSMC shelter in March of 2007. I had just had 5 babies and was so thankful for the safety of this place.  When they were old enough my kids all found great homes, and then one day I heard 3 babies crying and was thrilled to be able to take care of them. The shelter staff was very careful to make sure that I was healthy and the babies weren't too much trouble for me. I heard them say that they had never seen a cat who loved babies as much as me.  Now all my babies have grown up and went on to find forever homes. I miss them but now I am ready to start my life over. I am 4-5 years old (I lost track) I have been spayed and had all my shots. I love other cats and dogs. If you are looking for a true star... I'm your girl!

Shhh. Glenda is sleeping...again. So I thought I would tell you about her. It's me Little Bit. Glenda came to the shelter a year ago. I heard that somebody just left her outside. She doesn't really like to talk about what happened so I guess no one will ever really know the whole story. She doesn't have to stay in a cage anymore, the staff says it's because she has been here for so long, but I think she must be in charge of the towels. I always see her there so she must make sure the staff puts them away in the right place. She works really hard too because she sleeps a lot. She says that it is important to get at least 23 hours of rest everyday. I asked Glenda once what kind of home she wanted. She told me that she is always dreaming of a place where she could go outside for a little while and feel the grass under her paws. I think she is 7 or 8 years old, she has been spayed and had all her shots. Probably seems a little strange that I am trying to find a home for her when I don't have one myself, but she deserves to go to a home, a real home where she can curl up with a good friend and not have to worry about those towels!

Meeooowww! Hey ya'll. My name is a Hannah. I came to to the shelter in May of 2007. I have been spayed and had all my shots. I love other animals and children are fine with me. This place isn't so bad but all these kittens keep me up until all hours of the night and a girl needs her beauty sleep! They told me I was supposed to describe my perfect home. That is easy I just want somebody to love me and I promise to always love them back. I would love for you to come visit me!

Howdy folks. My name is Tater. I can tell you the food is good, the blankets, soft and cuddly, the atmosphere is friendly. No real complaints other than being a little home sick. I am a 2 year old, spayed female. I am great with other animals and children are great too. I'm pretty easy to please all I need is a good place to sleep, some food in my bowl, and maybe a toy or two. Come by and see me!

Adoption fees for cats are that have been spayed or neutered are: $35.00-$60.00. Please check out the adoptions page for more information on adopting an HSMC cat!
