Ways to Donate to the HSMC

The Humane Society of Montgomery County is a non-profit organization founded in 1971. We operate a no-kill shelter that houses all adoptable animals until permanent homes are found. We have been classified as a charitable organization under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code and qualify for the maximum deduction by donors.

You can donate to the HSMC in many ways; some of the most common ones are listed below. Monetary donations can be sent to HSMC by printing out this form and either mailing or bringing it in.

Help the Spay/Neuter program

The spay/neuter program needs increased funding to help carry the load. Any donations are greatly appreciated and can help the HSMC save lives through sponsoring a Spay/Neuter!

Cat Spay/Neuter: $30

Donating In Honor of/ In Memory of

A donation to the Humane Society of Montgomery County in Honor or in Memory of a pet, friend, or loved one is a meaningful gift that can make a lasting difference.
Every dollar you donate goes directly to support the HSMC shelter in Montgomery County.
Your gift will be acknowledged in the next issue of our newsletter and a card will be mailed to the recipient or the recipients family to let them know of your kindness.

The shelter will gladly accept item donations as well. The following items can be dropped off at the HSMC shelter anytime to help us out!

Donating to the store

Cleaning out the garage, the attic, or the whole house? Have yard sale leftovers? Bring your goodies to the HSMC Second Time Around Store. Your donations are sold at the store and all proceeds go to pay the expenses of operating our no kill animal shelter.

You can donate by simply bringing the items to the store during store hours. (Large items, such as furniture, may be picked up by calling 951-4327.) All items must be in clean, usable condition.

Upon request, the Humane Society will issue a donation receipt for tax purposes.
