"Onyx" (formerly known as Albert)
We adopted Onyx ("Albert") on February 17, 2007. He is such a beautiful cat! It has taken him a little while to warm up to me. He likes to hide in the day time and then comes out in the evening. He has a special spot at the top of the stairs where he can watch everybody walk by. He is still very shy. If I sit down and call to him he will come running to me. He loves to be petted. He can't get enough of it. He even rolls over so I can pet his belly. Then he purrs so loud. The loudest I have ever heard a cat purr. He is very sweet just really shy. I am hoping that his shyness will go away someday. He seems to like his new home. He likes my 4 year old daughter too. He really likes to play with his toys. He usually plays when no one is around. Once in a while we can get him to come out and play during the day. He is a lot of fun to play with.
